A charitable society ‘Sarv Kalyan Sewarth Samithi’ conducted a medical camp on eye cataract surgeries for patients on November 24. At least 16 people suffered partial vision loss after undergoing surgery .Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij has ordered a departmental probe into the incident. According to the Senior Medical Officer in the area, the society did not have permission from the government to hold such a camp and a case has been registered against them. The government needs to put in better monitoring mechanisms in place so that such illegal medical camps do not take place.
