The theme for World Health Day this year is “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures.” This theme focuses on enhancing the health and survival of mothers and newborns with the goal of increasing awareness of avoidable maternal and infant deaths. This day provides a timely opportunity to not only reflect on the challenges that persist regarding women’s reproductive health but more importantly, outline what’s needed to move from discussion to real-life implementation and scale up action to address the current gaps.
Our podcast, “Empowering women through access to reproductive healthcare,” conducted by Kanika Gupta, Associate Vice President – Content, features Dr. Mahima Bakshi, a renowned Woman and Child Wellness Expert, Youth Ambassador for the International Youth Society, and a TEDx Speake. It aims to explore how empowering women through accessible, affordable, and quality reproductive healthcare can drive gender equality, economic growth, and social well-being.
